I wish I hadn't seen the page for this in the summer Penguin catalog; I think the marketing copy gave away a bit too much of the plot. That said, I thought this was a well-written entry into the eating disorder treatment genre. The backflap cover compares this to Laurie Halse Anderson's Wintergirls, so I will, too: I don't think this was nearly as brilliant, affecting, or gut-wrenching, but it more than competently deals with many of the same issues. I'd be happy to put this title in the hands of a teen girl, and I'm intrigued to read more from the author.
