This would be a good book to read while on vacation or on a long road trip. It is engaging, the story has interesting twists and turns, it keeps the reader's interest, it contains some social issues one can ponder, and it is a quick read. It can be completed in a couple of days.

It takes place in Vermont in a small town where two rivers converge. It begins with a train wreck, and the story goes from there, with families, friends, and some unanswered questions being cleverly woven together as the stories unfold. There is a single father, his daughter, another girl who is a pregnant teen, various people in the town, and others. I liked the book, but it doesn't make my favorites list. I give it 4 stars.
