Things I don't like about this book:
- the fact that humans are subject to thinking machines that humans themselves created. Such a thing seems impossible to me, because as amazing as computers get, they can only do what they are programmed to do, they can't just suddenly decide to take over the world/galaxy.
- the fact that the love story part of the book seems perfunctory, and not crackling with chemistry.
- the fact that the story goes back and forth to different characters on different planets. Sometimes it takes so long before you get back to one story that you almost forget about that character.
Things I like about this book:
- ummm... let me get back to you about that.
