This was a great book!

I read it for my Temple Library Book Group and was pleasantly surprised (I'm not always fond of the books we read) - I was riveted to this book, staying up late to read and then getting up early to finish it.

Brooks does an excellent job weaving her imagined past of the Sarajevo Hagaddah with the story of it's discovery and conservation. I did not think I would enjoy the details of book conservation or the history of a book, but I did.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to people of all faiths.

Richard Alan I totally agree with you. I read it upon my mother-in-law's recommendation. I really enjoyed it. I loved how she kept going further back in history with each chapter. It was fascinating.
