The Cranes Dance
by Meg Howrey
by Meg Howrey
I know nothing of dance technique or terminology, but that fact didn't harm my comprehension of this book. Meg Howrey has done an excellent job creating a story someone unfamiliar with dance could follow, enjoy, and not feel is over their head. I flipped through The Cranes Dance quickly because I couldn't wait to see how it ended!
Kate Crane developed so smoothly throughout the story that it was near the end before I realized just how subtly Howrey accomplished this feat. Often stories bluntly show cause and effect, here Kate's change was a natural progression. There's a double twist at the end that I didn't see coming!
I won this as a Goodreads Giveaway - thank you! - and can't wait to look into some of Meg Howrey's other novels.
