The whole time I was reading this book I kept wondering when the bomb was going to drop. Page after page after page of detailed thoughts coming from the main character and all the while receiving subtle hints as to the truth behind Rebecca and her death. I had thought that it would never reach it's climax and then all of the sudden the book went from being a good book to being one of the best books I have ever read! I can not begin to explain how it happened. Daphne du Maurier's detail was at times a little lengthy, but without these pages of detail the connection to the main character would be bland. Woof! It is 3:09 am and I stayed up determined and obsessed with finishing this book. Definite place on the bookshelf in my heart!
