it was amazing
bookshelves: christian-living
Recommended for: Christians with a stagnant faith life
Read from March 14 to April 13, 2012 , read count: 2

I stumbled across this book a couple of years ago and read partway through, getting caught up in the whole "Surprise Me, God" thing that led me on the most amazing spiritual journey of my life. But then, strangely enough, I wandered, forgot, and stopped praying this prayer. And somehow my life became a bit more dull and predictable.

When I found this book again recently I knew it was time to see it through all the way to the end.

For the last month I've been praying the same thing, asking (sometimes begging) for God to surprise me. And I've been amazed over and over and over.

This book is wonderful. The idea behind it is clever and innovative. I even dare say it's life-changing. I would challenge every Christian to try this challenge. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a deeper and more meaningful life.
