really liked it
bookshelves: library, virtual-book-club

I really really enjoyed this. It was two stories in one - the story of Henrietta's cells, the science, etc, and the story of her family. Both stories were interesting enough that they possibly could survive on their own, but together they made for a really interesting read.

I can see me wanting to get this out of the library again some day to reread some of the science because I thought it was really interesting.

I appreciated how personal the story of her family was. You could tell that the author really became attached to the family members and became part of the story as she helped them understand what had happened with the cells.
