I think this story is a sad indictment on our so called Christian society. The review on the back cover says it is a chilling story and it is. Barbara Vine has done an amazing job of describing how it affects those involved in a relationship that is built on a lie for the sake of appearances and acceptance in conventional society. I felt the story was a bit too 'wordy' for my taste but I have to admire the author for her hard work in getting it all together so effectively.
