it was amazing
bookshelves: oh-hell-fucking-yes

Ever have a fucked up dream that's so crazy that you're in a haze for most of the morning and you kind of forget who you are, and if you're like me you go wandering around your apartment muttering things and then your roommate throws a bucket of water on you so that you "stop acting like a freshly lobotomized mime" (thanks Amy!)?

That's how you're going to feel after reading this book. But oh fuckmouth, is it ever worth it.

There's a great line in this book about how the characters are like bugs in the stomach of a monster, and it sums up how hard The Shining will fuck your brain. Your brain will be so sore! But you'll love it.

PS - the movie is all kinds of fucking crazy too, but you need to read the book! It's even more deranged than the movie, and that's saying something for a Kubrick film.

I fear twins.
