This going to end badly, and I'm not fond of sad movies or books. Yet, I'm reading it because it's a good story. But - this is heading for an unpleasant ending.

Yep - badly. But I enjoyed the story. It reminded me of close friendships I've lost along the way, the regret I have for not keeping up the friendship, and the sweet memories of the special memories I share with only one other person in the world.

If I had lived in a disfunctional family - I'm sure I would have got a lot out of that side of the story, but my family is boringly normal (thankfully). I don't get the self sabotage of one's happiness, but can see how someone with Willa's background would distrust any happiness she happens to find. Too bad, she's a hilarious girl and deserves to be happy.
