It was a little unrealistic and I would have liked to know where Bee's sudden interest in Archeology came from - it's fairly quickly explained, but not with any convincing detail.
Carmen's story is the best and the one I think most relatable. She goes from being super excited about college after being very popular and "with it" in h.s. but moving to a bigger pond doesn't do great things for her. It seems like a turn around from her character in book 3. But I think it was the best representation of what can happen to a freshman girl away at college of the four. The others are very stereo typical.
Still, if you've read the other 3 Traveling Pants series, you'll want to read this to find out what ultimately happens to the girls and to the pants.
The ending may not be as conclusive or satisfying as some readers might hope. But I like to think it paves the way for our own imaginations of for Breshares to start writing stand alone books on the individual girls.
