This is the first of a new series for me about Agatha Raisin. She is a strong, smart woman recently retiring from London to a small village in England, Carsely. She has trouble feeling a part of this town, until she enters into a cooking contest (she doesn't cook!) and ends up killing a man with her quiche. Not really, but the story continues with this theme. It's cute and fun to read and I'll definitely want to read more of Beaton's books.
