Turren belongs to a race that has lived in secret among humans since the begining of time. They aren't immortal but live for a very long time. His people are dying out though. A virus wiped most of them out and the ones that survived can't seem to mate and reproduce. All of the females have been put into hybernation to ensure their safety. Turren manages to get imprisoned by a rogue member of his race.
Mia is getting over her husband's death and betrayal. When she falls asleep she somehow mangages to teleport to Turren's cell and once she falls asleep there she goes back to her home. The two of them end up helping each other and getting closer to one another everyday. The more she's in contact and the closer she gets to Turren she begins to take on new abilities and becomes less human by the day. Mia comes up with a plan to release Turren.
They go on the run from Turren's captor and race. This is a story with a lot of world builing at the start but after that it gets really good. There's love, betrayal, hope, violence, and a little bit of everyting in this story.
Mia and Turren just might discover how to save Turren's race together.
