Hey, finally one of the Old Republic novels actually resembles...a novel! It has a fluid storyline that you can follow all the way through - amazing. Not a great one by any means, but not the catastrophe that many KOTOR fans have made it out to be. The main complaints seem to be about what this novel isn't (a who's who of the 20+ characters in both KOTOR games) rather than what it is (an entertaining story with an unexpectedly tragic conclusion). I particularly enjoyed the two-part structure - the amount of time that passes throughout the course of events in this novel only adds to the epic (and tragic) feeling. The characterization of T3-M4 is so touching, and ultimately heartbreaking. The love between Revan and Bastila is palpable. My favorite of the three Old Republic novels, but I still maintain that all three could have been compressed into novellas and would have made a cracking anthology, instead of three plodding, middling novels. I still love you Star Wars.
