Funny and feminist--gold star!

Sure, parts of the book went on a little too long, and occasionally there's an awkward twinge at the end of a story, like you've just heard something you weren't meant to hear, but overall, the book is really enjoyable. Fey is (predictably) funny, but also charmingly human and insecure, just like everyone else.

If you're looking for seedy tales of sketchy producers and vague discrimination, this isn't the book for you. If you'd like a surprisingly sweet and sincere book about women in male-dominated industries, parenting, creativity, effective management, and self-image, give this one a shot.
