4.0 for me, 3.0 for not-me.

Young Adult . . . or Escapist 30ish Adult.

Medium writing, but mucho fun story. It reminded me of choose-your-own adventure books. Why the hell not reminisce about the 80s if you are a geek, especially a tech or gamer. It was the decade of the first home computers, D&D in every basement, and the birth of hacking.

On the good side:
* Sci-fi world was A-grade. I loved the stacks, OASIS and the thoughtfulness behind the online play rules.
* Quotable quotes.
* I remember all that crap because I was born the same year as Wade.

On the bad side:
* Some stilted writing.
* Some predictability.
* A few key plot holes.

The good outweighs the bad.
