This book is awesome. The authors are necessarily writers, as much as just the two men who raised Christian for almost a year, who wanted to share the story of the lion. But they did a great job, it was a smooth read, and they never went off topic into information that had nothing to do with the story. Christian the Lion is so cute. A total mini Simba, that spent its first 8 months in London and then becomes a new King of Africa in order to avoid ending up in a zoo. It's a great story and it's wonderful knowing young lions can literally be raised like a dog (except their huger and serious fatalities can occur if the owner isn't careful enough) and grow deep bonds with their owners for well into adulthood. Christian certainly remembered who he grew up with until adulthood and eventually left the compound to make his own home somewhere in the wild.
