It was interesting. At first I didn't realize it was a play. I love Russians and learning of their culture, so this really appealed to me. However, I was lost half the time... It was a play, so they only had dialect (I listened to this), no imagry being painted by words or background details that make it whole. It was hard to realize when a scene changed or years for that matter. I'm sure it would be much better on stage. It didn't feel like it had a purpose either. Except maybe just giving up on life... :(
