After being thorughly dissapointed with Marr's first novel; Fury I decided to give her next novel Preloved a go, to see if I would like this one more than I did her first, unfoturtuantly that wasnt the case.

Preloved; while it states it is a young adult book I would dissagree, the writing style and language used came off as a much younger aged book than those of us who are used to reading young adult novels. Secondly I couldn't connect with the story or characters; the story was very bland, and the characters weren't loveable. Which is dissapointing, because it is so hard reading a novel when you don't love/like the characters within it. Sadly, this novel did nothing for me, but it may do more for others.

It appears that Marr's writing style and concepts within her novels are just not for me.
