Though Evanovich is very skilled at humor and a fast-paced plot, I am getting tired of the formula of the Stephanie Plum series. Over the course of the fourteen (and a few additional special holiday editions), she has added more risky situations with threats of bodily harm, but all in all the violence is still handled in a cartoony way with zany characters and outrageous situations. I have to give credit to Evanovich, since it is apparent that in this book she is trying to vary up the standard Plum routine. Entertaining quick read, but very similar to all the previous.

Becky I totally agree with you on the tiresome formula. I have read all of these books and thought that they were so funny, but the formula needs something new to give it a twist. I haven't read it yet, but have been ambivalent on reading it.
