it was ok
bookshelves: hnnnng-no

Just like with Laskar Pelangi, I , who avoid mainstream novel/manga/anime like a good expensive ice cream, wouldn't read this. Then I was sick because I couldn't write anything in Indonesian very well, I thought I should have read more Indonesian literature.

It was interesting, though I have read my fair share of literature with Islamic boarding school setting. It was funny, since they were all boys, their idiocy sometimes amused me. And their struggles to reach this so called modern Islamic boarding school for better life was inspiring and sad. But then, I didn't know, I couldn't reach past page 30 or something. I kept comparing this with Harry Potter (of all novels! Because of the boarding school setting) and Laskar Pelangi, and this was pale in comparison.
