Probably the most relevant Diablo book to the actual story of the games. This book shows what was occurring in Sanctuary in the twenty years between Diablo 2 and 3.

What really struck me the most is how much I didn't know about Cain before I read this book. From the games, you only get a sense of who Cain is. He's an old, wise Horadrim who knows a lot about the Burning Hells and the High Heavens.

The Order goes quite a bit into his childhood, his life before becoming a Horadrim, and his adventures with Leah after the events of Diablo 2.

If you're at all a fan of Diablo lore, I highly recommend this novel to you.
