I really loved this latest novel in the Fool's Gold series. Charlie has been an interesting character to me and I was really surprised by her past experiences with men. I was looking forward to seeing how she would deal with her issues and when she approached Clay to help her I practically jumped for joy. I had a feeling this book was going to be about Clay and at first I wasn't really enthused about it but as this book went on I grew to love Clay's character even more.

I also thought the town's reaction to Clay was surprising. They judged him harshly when at other times they accepted loads of other men coming into their town. I found it unfair how Charlie's captain treated Clay when he wanted to join the volunteer firefighters and I'm glad that Charlie stood up for him.

Another great book in the series! Can't wait for more installments from this crazy town.
