When I saw this book available on net galley I was really excited and pretty much started reading it as soon as I received the approval email. I just couldn't help myself. I really love this series with it's quirky town and sometimes insane but always lovable characters.

In this book we meet Heidi, a goat raiser who lives on the Castle Ranch farm with her grandfather. All she wants in life is to keep raising her goats, make cheese and sell her goat milk but that is all about to change. Her grandfather swindled money from May Stryker by telling her he would sell her part of the ranch (which wasn't his to sell). So not only does May not get the ranch, but she also won't be getting her money back because it was given to a man named Harvey so he could get cancer treatment. Still with me? So May is obviously upset because what she's wanted all her life is to have a home and she has always wanted to live on the ranch. So she calls her son Rafe, who happens to be really wealthy, cosigned on the "Sale" of the ranch and he also hates Fools Gold. So once he hears what happens with his mother it's full steam ahead to get her out of trouble and get their money back or the ranch. He doesn't care which. Meanwhile, poor Heidi doesn't know what to do with herself. She realizes that her grandfather made a big mistake but she also knows she doesn't have the money to pay back Rafe and his mom. When the court declares that it needs more time to think about the situation, Heidi thinks she might be in the clear. Until of course, Rafe and May decide that they will be living at the ranch until a decision is made. Rafe living in the same house as Heidi? I just knew there would be sparks flying!

I thought Heidi was a terrific character from the moment we saw her trying to catch up with her goat Athena. She was innocent (think milk maid), funny and also a free spirit. She had her dream and knew what she wanted and would do anything to keep that dream alive. It was funny watching her clash with the staid Rafe. Although, I have to say he loosened up real quick. Just the idea of the millionaire broker taking off his suit and getting into ranch clothes was awesome, but watching him come to realize he actually might like the jeans better was priceless. Especially since he was so confused about it, it just made it even better when he finally realized what the heck was going on.

The sparks between Heidi and Rafe were flying, sexually and also they argued a fair amount of times. I also liked the verbal sparring between each other and that Heidi refused to be another woman or person that just agreed with everything that Rafe said.

The book also made me interested in Heidi's two friends, Annabelle and Charlie, who we saw quite a bit through this book. I'm assuming the next two in this part of the series will be about them and I can't wait to see the man who is going to take on Charlie's rough and tumble personality.

This was another great edition to this series, and if you haven't given it a try yet I encourage you to
