Overall, I liked this book, but I found it very slow to grab my interest. Once my interest was grabbed though, I sped through the last half of the book. I wish the relationship between Sean and Puck had started a lot earlier in the book because it felt rushed - that's my biggest complaint. For a book that supposedly has romance as a big element of the story, it takes too long for the hero and heroine to even meet for the first time.

I was never really a "horse book" kind of a girl, but I think this will especially appeal to young adults who loved Black Beauty and Misty of Chincoteague in their younger days. It certainly takes paranormal in a different direction than vampires and werewolves and angels.
