I usually try to read the Man Booker winner, they can be variable though. Sometimes I am not literate enough to understand them. I liked this book. It was short and surprisingly compelling for a such a short, seemingly simple story. It is probably more interesting to older readers, it's the story of a middle aged man looking back on some incidents in childhood and how it really takes the whole book for him to piece together what really happened. Nice combination of dialogue and rumination. I'd recommend it.
