it was amazing
Recommended for: Baseball fans
Read from March 10 to 13, 2012 — I own a copy, read count: 1

This book was marketed as a collection of whimsical graphics depicting various trivial details of the game of baseball, but it’s so much more than that. Read on, and you’ll discover a baseball lover in the infancy of his own fandom: a then-thirtysomething British-born artist who came to love the Yankees after coming to work in the States, then brought his affection home and beyond thanks to the ubiquitousness of the Internet and streaming video. If a book could capture a childlike purity of heart with an adult’s wit (and a large smattering of hilarity and obsession), this just might be it. Read it, and remember. Five stars.
