You wouldn't give a toddler the keys to your car. Sure a car can be a great tool, and one of the fastest ways to get around, but in unprepared or careless hands it is a dangerous weapon. Amy Chua is not criticizing Democracy or Capitalism. Rather she shows how either force can turn from a good tool to a dangerous weapon when implemented in countries that are not yet ready for their arrival. This is a gross simplification, so read her book and prepare to sound smart next time you're at Starbucks buying free-trade coffee.
