Courage in Patience is a true-to-life epic story of a sexually, mentally, and emotionally abused girl. Ashley Asher's inner monologue shows the confusion, introversion, fear and anger of anyone that is in an abusive situation.

I usually shy away from abuse stories, however, this one called to me and I'm glad I answered. It's a really good. Somewhat reminiscent of A CHILD CALLED "IT" but one step down in intensity. In fact, it's much like SPEAK. This book, however, could be up there in the leagues with these books. I thought the constant stream of inner monologue was a great choice in writing because of the introversion the character feels due to the abuse.
