Okay, I'm 2/3rds done with the last book, The Specials, and I'm so hooked. The writing is a little teenagery at times, but that is the audience they're aimed at. I also admit that I am a SUCKER for a dystopic novel. Uglies and Pretties were exciting and a fun/eerie read. It is an interesting premise, and tad agenda-ish at times (but what isn't these days), and well thought out...thus far. It is also a nice touch that you see the main character from each different sub-culture of the "new world."
