The writing is a little teenagery at times, but that is the audience they're aimed at. I also admit that I am a SUCKER for a dystopic novel. Uglies and Pretties were exciting and a fun/eerie read. It is an interesting premise, and tad agenda-ish at times (but what isn't these days), and well thought out...thus far.
