Cute little cozy mystery. Enjoyed Lila Watkins taking an internship job (at forty plus years of age) to try to become a literary agent. While she does got too far in her self-investigations, as many cozy heroines do; she is not a foolish or reckless as most of them seem to be.

There were enough twists and turns, misdirections to make the story interesting, without taking advantage of the reader, and unfairly confusing the story. I enjoyed this and was surprised to find this is the first in the series. The writing was much more thoughtful and better composed than many first efforts.
