Haunting, eerie, beautiful... this is a creepy, gory, delicious little read about a demon princess of sorts finding love in a hopeless place (hahaha stupid Rihanna reference). This book was really entertaining. Something about Yovanoff's writing really pulls me in, I love her style, it is so pretty and detailed but not at all overly ornate... all of her extra little details make her characters and settings so much more likable and real. This book, like The Replacement, was at times a bit sketchy and inconsistent but it made up for it with it's fast-paced plot and pretty details.
Also a BIG PLUS, and probably why this book is 5 stars instead of 4... THIS IS NOT A SERIES! And it so easily could have been drawn out into one. I feel like so many stories are stretched out into series just for the extra $$$, when they could easily end. It's nice when authors know that they've told their story and don't try and drag it out.
I will probably pre-order Yovanoff's next book. I've become a fan, so glad I found her books this year. :)

PS: I feel like Yovanoff kind of hit the jackpot with her cover art. I love this one almost as much as The Replacement, and both are absolutely perfect for their corresponding stories. This should always happen!

Lindsey Russell was obie a character in the replacement though?

Cristina what...?

Cristina No, The Replacement is entirely different book... to my knowledge, they are not connected.

Lindsey Russell oh i don't know why but the name sounds so familiar!
