it was amazing
Read in January, 2009

** spoiler alert ** One of my favorite combinations in a book - I learned a lot about a place & time I didn't know very well, and at the same time, I also simply enjoyed reading it. It's a page-turner and a great novel. I feel guilty calling it a pleasure read because of the subject matter, but for me, it was.

My only complaint is that ending was so abrupt. What was up with that?

Ana Oh good! I'm glad you liked it. I thought it was great-- one of the better reads in awhile.

The ending? I got the sense she didn't know what to do next with the characters and also did not want to predict what next. . . not sure.
