Like many of us I was very excited to win a copy of this book as I had enjoyed Something Borrowed, and surprisingly, enjoyed its sequel, Something Blue, even more. They're smart, likeable, chick lit and she asks questions about moral behavior.

In Where We Belong, we find thirty-six year old Marian Caldwell living her dream in New York. She is a television producer and in a satisfying relationship with the CEO of the network, Peter. She is happy with her life, but would like to marry and have children. Peter is stalling. He is divorced with a 15 year old son already.

One night, after a date with Peter, a knock comes at her door. Much to her surprise, outside the door is an 18 year old girl who claims to be her daughter. Emily Giffin has developed remarkable characters; she has an amazing talent in making her reader feel the raw and complex emotions that each character feels.

I have to say the best of her books.
