I started this book with some skepticism. After all, I'm a bit of a Lincoln scholar/nerd who's read way too many of his biographies. I'm also not a fan of vampire novels. So I wasn't sure of what to expect. On completing Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter though, I have to admit that I was really impressed by the cleverness of the novel! I thought that Seth Grahame-Smith did a remarkable job of fusing fact and fiction together and providing "answers" to various historical mysteries, such as the fate of the lost colony of Roanoke and the unusual death of Edgar Allan Poe. I did catch a couple of historical inaccuracies, but nothing bad enough to ruin the story for me.
I'm still not a fan of vampire novels though... : )
