it was amazing

This is a wonderful book. It's more than a story about a race horse ... it's a wonderful glimpse into a slice of American history. In the 1930's during the Great Depression in America and while Hitler was rising to power in Germany, a small horse, that seemed insignificant and destined for defeat, rose to become a national hero ... a symbol for hope for all who were "down and out". I loved this book.
