Eh. Maybe I would've liked it more if I hadn't just mainlined Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick series, which I absolutely, despite a few nitpicks, adored. There was a lot of action, it moved very quickly, both plot-wise and emotionally. The latter is where I think I got stuck. I can believe that Rio is drawn to Grace and wants to protect her, but I have a hard time accepting that a hard case like him is ready to spit out the 'l' word after forty-eight hours of actually knowing her when she's conscious.
I think fans of the series will enjoy it, despite my preference for Whispers in the Dark, which you should read before Echoes at Dawn. You don't necessarily have to read the other KGI books, however, as the Kellys are barely in this one.

I had to laugh at mainlining the Rock Chicks - I just did the same thing. I've been looking forward to Rio's story, I hope it doesn't disappoint!
