Another entry into the Scottish noir genre, I really enjoyed this dark mystery about a Dundee PI's investigation into a missing teenager. The case gets progressively darker and more disturbing, reflecting the grim, damaged personality of PI McNee. Has something of the spare style of old American noir but without the irritating jerkiness of Elmore Leonard.
