I'm probably giving this a better rating than I normally would. There is how a book is written and then there is content. Where one lapsed at times the other took over and I think this kid has got a real talent for writing. At some point books on addiction all begin to sound the same;there were a few times I was a little bored, but for the most part his desire to 'get it' coupled with an astuteness far beyond what you would expect from someone who has damaged so many brain cells won me over. Exhausting and frustrating this book is full of spirit and reminds you how strong the will to live is and how people can change and grow despite overwhelming obstacles.
