Read in February, 2012

Why I picked it up: The premise sounded intriguing and I had read the first chapter when ir first came out. It was also the book for my teen book group for February.

Jonah, 13, has always known he was adopted. When he gets an anonymous letter that says only “You are one of the missing,” he thinks it is a prank. Then his neighbor, Chip, also 13, gets the same letter. And learns that he, too, was adopted. The next letter warns the boys that “They are coming back to get you.”

It’s an enjoyable story. It’s fast paced, there are great cliff hangers, and I especially like the relationship between Jonah and his sister, Katherine. Jonah’s friendship with and support of Chip is nice to see as well. It’s the first of a series; you only get some answers by the end of this book. (view spoiler)
