After completing the first book in this series in 24 hours, the second book was completed in a couple days. This novel provides a compelling follow-up to the first book, 'The Walk'. Although it didn't grab me in the same manner as the initial book, it was still full of moments that opened my eyes to thoughts and feelings in myself that have been dormant for quite some time. In that sense, the book was a huge success for me. It's amazing how easy it is to become jealous of a fictional character. Perhaps this feeling and its unwritten lesson is what sums up this book (and series so far) for me. We all have dreams and wants and can either sit by idle and whine, or we can get out and take steps towards living the life we want to live no matter how small each of those steps may be. I eagerly await the third book in the series.
