I was recommended this book by a friend who was recommended this book by one of our teachers. It's an intriguing looking book (I know, I know, don't judge a book by its cover...) and I had been told that it is a good read.

It started off, to me, rather dull, and I soon got bored of reading the word "coffee". I must have rolled my eyes so many times while coming across that word that it must have looked as though I was possessed. However things do take a turn for the best and I became fully engrossed in the book and all the ideas within it that I found it extremely hard to put down. I really did enjoy this book, but the ending just did not do it for me. I can't fully explain how I feel about that ending but it left me saying "eeehhhh..."

This book did also remind me of a few other things. Being John Malkovich, Neil Gaiman's American Gods, and the Matrix mixed together. Not necessarily a bad thing

Like I said earlier, I really did enjoy this book, which is why I'm giving it the four stars, but the ending just wasn't for me.
