A fascinating look into the lives of first-class passengers on the Titanic that also provides a glimpse into what the world was like around the beginning of the 20th century. So many books written about the Titanic are dry and dull but I couldn't put this one down. I really enjoyed going more in-depth into the lives of those people and was mesmerized by what was considered appropriate in behavior and decorum. I especially liked the Afterlives Postscript at the end outlining what ended up happening to those who survived.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the Titanic story.
