really liked it

I'm kicking myself for not reading this book when I first learned of it years ago. It's a great dystopia, up there with The Giver, Gathering Blue, The Windup Girl, and Ready Player One. I like this sort of dystopia, one where futuristic technology has resulted in prejudicial separation of the citizens after a great tragedy and the hero works toward correcting that. I also appreciated how the main character's epilepsy is used as a strength rather than a weakness and how the old man shows the power of the written, recorded word.
