I read this whilst drunk (While I don't think this was the right way to read it, unfortunatley as it was only 37 pages long the book was finished before the wine was.

I of course went back and read it again and was blown away by the subtlety of the language (so much so I missed a lot of key points the first time round) and just how achingly sad this was.

I know this book would have touched a lot of women in similar circumstances and Charlotte Perkins should be thanked not only for a small but tightly wrapped literary delight, but for shedding light for those who can only see dark.

Happy International Womens' day all - heres hoping for more proud, fierce female writers in the years to come!
