A short (VERY short) but humbling parable. It reminds one to not judge or criticize others without first knowing their story.

If planning to read this one, however, some people might be put off by the cost of purchasing a new copy due to the small number of readable pages. Don't be fooled by the size or length of the volume; most readers can finish this little gem in about an hour. Translated into English from the original French, my edition contains both versions so the story was finished about 80 pages into the actual 176. Although well worth a read, I suggest you check your local library or look for a cheap used copy (I found mine in a bargain bin for a dollar).
