I won this book through the first reads giveaways here on goodreads. The Drunk Diet is a non-fiction work by the self-described party-aholic Luc Carl, who works as a bartender in NYC and loves his rock n' roll. In this book he shares his personal experiences on a quest to go from flabby to "sexy".

Luc Carl is by no means a professional nutritionist or fitness expert. He picked up all of his tips from trial & error, talking with others at the gym, and reading random fitness/diet books & magazines. Over the course of his "diet" Carl adjusts his bad habits (such as eating heavy fried food at 4 AM when he ends his shift at the bar; smoking; lack of exercise etc) but opts not to give up his booze.

The book was entertaining in a tongue in cheek kind of way. Don't read this if you are looking for serious expert advice about weightloss. Also, don't read this if you aren't a fan of curse words in books. The book is riddled with sections with titles like "What the F*ck is Whey?" and "What the F*ck is a track bike".

While I love books with recipes in them, I am not sure if I will be trying any of the recipes at the back of this book anytime soon. ;)
