It was interesting. Very definitely needs a sequel because there were so many things that didn't have closure, including particularly the whole mayor scandal. With all the attention that got, I was surprised there wasn't better closure for that story in this book. It kind of perpetuates the question--what makes a "novel" and what makes a "part"? Otherwise, it was a pretty simple plot line. The deciphering of the message seemed very device-y rather than a significant plot mover that it seemed to want to be. But for younger readers, it would probably do the trick. Still interesting, I'll look for sequels.

Laura I think I saw this movie, not knowing it was a book. The mayor had some nasty tricks up the political sleeve.

Heidi I didn't know it was a movie. now I'm curious.
