WHAT THE ACTUAL CRAP. Sometimes I feel like the only sane person in the world.

Dear Ms. Roane, having sex with someone while they are asleep is RAPING THEM. I don't really give a crap how much their unconscious self wants it, if she runs away in horror when she wakes up, it isn't endearing or sexy that the male in question goes to great lengths to make sure she stays asleep. NON-CONSENSUAL SEX IS THE SAME AS RAPE. There is not part of me that even gave two craps about Marcus after the second chapter, because he is (quite frankly) the most disgusting "hero" I've ever seen in a romance novel. No love, Merrin

I gave these a try because I was intrigued by the idea of winged vampires, and she cites JR Ward and Sherrilyn Kenyon (both of whom I adore) as influences. After this huge disappointment, I'm just going to stick with those ladies.
